- Valley of Fire–Your Private Day Tour to Valley of Fire will overwhelm your senses. This incredible destination offers breathtaking scenery, wide vistas and brightly colored rock formations. The bright reds of the landscape will dazzle you. Vibrant, red Aztec Sandstone outcrops nestled among gray and tan limestone mountains await you. This is a wonderful half-day tour from Las Vegas, making an easy journey to what seems like a distant planet. In fact, a number of sci-fi movies have been filmed in this area, representing Mars and other distant worlds. Valley of Fire is Nevada’s first state park. 2. Death Valley National Park—just over 2 hours away from Las Vegas is the closest National Park to the city. Death Valley National Park is the lowest point in North America, and the second lowest point on Earth, second only to the Dead Sea. With its low valley, and high surrounding mountains, the park offers some dramatic views, stark contrasts and unique scenery. From Badwater Basin, the lowest point, to Devil’s Golf Course salt formations, to Artist’s Palette scenic colors, this park has beautiful and unusual sights to see. Grand Canyon North Rim—one of the most enjoyable places to visit, anywhere on Earth, the North Rim awaits visitors with ultimate beauty, tranquility and peaceful scenery. 90% of visitors to Grand Canyon National Park visit the South Rim of the Canyon. Only a select few get to see this pristine area of the park. The North Rim is higher, offering more pine trees and vegetation, and adding to the distinct colors of the canyon. It is much less crowded and has different feel that other sections. Its historic, stone lodge also offers dining and relaxing options, with an open patio for visitors to enjoy the astounding view. The drive from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon’s North Rim passes through some beautiful scenery in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona.
4. Zion National Park—for those that wish to do a bit of hiking, a private tour to Zion is a perfect option. Just three hours from Las Vegas, Zion National Park offers some of the most famous hikes in the world, such as Angel’s Landing and The Narrows. While these require reservations and advance planning, there are many other shorter and easier hikes around the Zion Valley.
