Business Returns to Las Vegas
Convention and Leisure Business Combine to Increase Volume
News Release
Dateline: Las Vegas, February 20, 2023
CHD, Inc. has been receiving an increasing number of bookings from international companies which are part of the growing demand in Las Vegas. During 2020 and 2021, the international inbound travel volume was significantly lower, but during 2022, and now especially in 2023, bookings are up substantially.
Convention Travel is strong, and again attracting international partners to bolster attendance. Conexpo-Con/Agg in March, 2023 is hosting companies like XCMG, a multinational heavy machinery manufacturing company that sixth in the world’s construction machinery industry. Based in China, this company will bring attendees and equipment to Las Vegas, increasing services, transportation and accommodations booked through CHD, Inc. Other major conventions, such as CES in January 2023 also saw a spike in international attendance. As the number of global convention attendees grow, ancillary expenditures also increase.
International inbound leisure travel has also been increasing in late 2022 and early 2023. While higher prices and a strong U.S. dollar have deterred some inbound global markets, the overall volume has steadily increased. This adds to the strong domestic market, and increases the demand on accommodations, transportation and other services. All of this combines to strengthen the local economy by bringing in tourism dollars.
CHD, Inc. has increased efficiency, expanded technology and purchased new luxury motor coaches to meet the expanding demand for groups and individual travelers. Canyon Coach Lines, the charter motor coach division of CHD, Inc. was the first company in Las Vegas to receive the new 2023 Prevost luxury motor coach, and has more ordered to expand its fleet to over 35 vehicles. This momentum is expected to continue through 2023 and well into the future. Travel USA Express, under the parent company of CHD, Inc., has launched a robust travel portal for agents and operators to make bookings for travelers. This tool offers travel packages with increased savings as well as the ability to book individual products. This also assists in meeting the increased demand.
